Is Snapchat down? June 2019

Snapchat is still not working properly, the day after a Google outage took down large parts of the internet. The issues largely affected those on the East Coast of the US,and a number of web services suffered from it such as YouTube, Snapchat, Gmail, Nest, and Discord.It effected my gmail for about an hour between 1-2pm, and also my youtube.

But, it seems nobody going to report on a separate YouTube problem. Such as, Users’ home pages have been loading incorrectly for a couple of weeks, and still no fix has yet been applied. Discord, Snapchat, and Vimeo users are also affected since they’re using Google Cloud on the backend. In case of Snapchat, the problems seem to be ongoing. Thousands of people are still reporting that they are unable to log into the app, more than 12 hours after the issues first began.

Why is Snapchat down?

People keep reporting that their snapchat not working. Some saying their snapchat could not refresh or even loading. While Google blamed “high levels of network congestion in the eastern USA” for the issues. “We sincerely apologize to those that were impacted by today’s issues.” Says google spokes person.

As of now according to Google has resolved its outage.  Google’s services appear to have largely returned to normal. But still there are people who experienced their snapchat not working or could not refresh. FYI, Google’s issues started at around 3PM ET / 12PM PT, and the company resolved them after more than four hours.

According to the website Downdetector, The issues are particularly impacted on the west coast of the US, with some in Australia and some in Europe.

Lastly, you may not have to worry for the effect of Google outage since google alredy resolved it. You may need to wait a little longer for your Snapchat to get to work again. Some people saying that everything back to normal as of this afternoon.
