Baby Doge: Elon Musk’s new favorite crypto?

“Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo” here is the tweet Elon Musk posted yesterday referring to the baby shark children’s song which is the most watched video on YouTube with billions of views. An hour earlier he had tweeted: “Release the Doge!”. With all these tweets, Elon Musk is undoubtedly one of the biggest influencers in the cryptocurrency price.

The Baby Doge is a cryptocurrency that was born exactly 22 days ago. According to CoinGecko, its price has increased by 549.5% since its inception. It is currently trading at $ 0.00000000001509.

There are differences between the “father” Dogecoin and his “son”, the Baby Doge. Dogecoin is a coin while Baby Doge is a token. Dogecoin works with its own chain, independent of a parent network like Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETC). Baby Doge’s transactions take place on the Binance Smart Chain. From this point of view, the crypto is therefore closer to Shiba Inu. In short, it is possible to mine and create Dogecoin, whether to hold it or to trade it. Conversely, Baby Doge’s tokens are pre-mined. In other words, the money supply of Dogecoin is infinite while that of Baby Doge is finite. There are 420 Billiards of Baby Doge tokens circulating and around 130 billion Dogecoin coins.

Last week, Elon Musk adopted a Shiba Inu puppy named Floki, which may explain why he has fallen for one of the Dogecoin children, the Baby Doge, in recent days. Why is Elon Musk so attached to the Doge? In a tweet from May 25, 2021, he replies that the Doge has dogs and memes while the others don’t.

A new currency has emerged and like DogeCoin and Shiba Inu, with his tweets Elon Musk had an immediate influence on the price of the cryptocurrency. One thing is certain: the Baby Doge is not done talking about him.
